Well-trained

Took Amtrak to DC today. As shown by the frost in the space between cars, it was cold in Vermont today. That meant the cafe car had wonderfully cold beer but also frozen pipes so no coffee for people who wanted it. The winter landscape provided some nice vistas.

This was my first time on the tracks since upgrades were completed to allow faster service through Massachusetts. It’s still over 10 hours to get to Washington.

I could have passed some time watching the Super Bowl. But, amtrak’s wifi was nowhere fast enough and even Verizon LTE wasn’t enough. I saw much of the first half but none of the second, when things actually happened. One day we will have video implants that work all the time …
