Fall is falling quickly, and so each day we can get outside feels extra special. Last night we explored a short trail we had never walked before, in the Hogle Wildlife Sanctuary land. As the sun set (brilliantly), we startled a family of beavers in the Retreat Meadows pond. The Retreat itself looked like an Alpine village in the twilight. Just as we were starting to worry about wandering endlessly through the darkness we finally discovered the end of the trail in the backyard of 40 Putney Road B&B. Next time, we’ll invite ourselves in for cocktails.
