Singapore Chinatown
Big and full of shops and stalls and people. You can buy anything from cheap ugly souvenirs to beautiful high quality hand-tailored suits. At least I hope my suit will be beautiful….
Lunch at the Old Chengdu required a careful perusal of the menu… although I’m not a really squeamish eater, we all have our different definitions of “appetising ”. The dishes we finally did order were excellent… Kung Pao Shrimp and some sort of beef noodle dish with Szechuan peppercorns and ginger and lots of chili. Three chili pepper icons here means your nose runs and your eyes water, and yet you still taste all the many other spices.
