On Saturday we continued Anniversary Weekend with a spontaneous trip to Lake George, a couple of hours away.

Lake George Village lies inside the Town of Lake George, and according to Wikipedia both are named for the nearby body of water…

We found the village to be full of people and cars and shops and stuff that I would characterize as large, loud, and sticky. We played miniature golf in a very nice pirate-themed mini golf course.

The lake, however, was beautiful. Next time we’ll try to get there early enough to rent a boat.
