Fourth of July, 2015, Brattleboro

It’s been a cool summer, and the Fourth was even cooler than that… An early morning bike ride required long sleeves, it rained on the parade, and although it cleared up in time for the fireworks to go off as planned, we needed jackets and a blanket to be comfortable.

The new iPhone 6 camera takes better fireworks pictures than any phone I’ve ever had before, yay! The cool and still air somehow kept all the smoke from the rockets hovering in place, and close to the ground. As a result, some of my shots look more like Hubble space telescope “Formation of the galaxy” images than regular fireworks.
