I recently heard that a nerd is someone who cares about the details. Today we went to the New England Vintage Travel Trailer Rally at the KOA campground north of town. By that definition, this was an extremely nerdy crowd.

The trailers are awesome, many of the old ones only 10-15 feet long, cunningly equipped and furnished, and tricked out with accessories for today’s open house. The Serro Scotty models had a great layout, as did the high-dollar Airstreams. The Shastas with their wings win style points but lacked the functionality we might want.

But, although it was great to geek out with the travel trailer crowd (“this is a ‘62… the ‘63 had a different Formica pattern”) for an hour or two, we won’t be buying one at least until we move to Europe AND run out of Marriott points.
