Every Day is Wednesday

Last night, a Thursday, I joined Washington DC’s Every Day is Wednesday Hash House Harriers for their weekly run. It’s a popular hash, particularly among relatively new or non-hard-core hashers, always taking off near a Metro stop, and not going overboard with the hashing rituals. Last nights run was a white dress run, in honor of two of their members who are getting married soon. The bride is shown here, standing on the ground all the way at the right.

Being in the big city makes you realize just how big the big city can be… There were well over 100 people, and everyone said that was just a normal sized group. We were told to disperse by the cops once, while drinking a beer in an alley, and then visited again by cops who did not tell us to disperse at the end… Just enough excitement to make it worthwhile.
