It’s zero’ish degrees out there today, a good morning to stay in and read the Brattleboro Reformer. The local paper is continually trying new things to stay alive, but it’s tough to put out a high-quality paper with limited resources, and that makes it harder to get more resources and there you go, let’s read HuffPo instead.

Today’s best tidbits include two howlers and a hmmmmm…

* it’s ski jump weekend, and in the history article we learn about the old wood sweaters they used to wear

* in an article about the Strolling of the Heifers the word ‘goring’ is incomprehensibly inserted… Maybe there was an attempt to type ‘ongoing’ but I’m not sure

* and the hmmmmm: we learn that the Hinsdale police department (which is getting a well-deserved new building) has been operating out of a temporary facility since the early 1980s. At some point, you gotta admit that you’re a waiter, not a musician, or that your trailer ain’t temporary.
