Midsummer night’s party

Last night was la Fête de la Musique, where everyone pours out into the streets for a big midsummer romp. Bands and DJs played till all hours, and it was ok to take your drink out on the street, New Orleans style. People brought their families out, and while we were eating dinner we enjoyed watching a whole line of boys devour sandwiches across the street.

Of course it wouldn’t be France without a protest, and some of the local restaurateurs were upset about the whole evening… Not sure exactly why.
