Musée des arts et métiers

This morning, we traipsed around the really fun museum of arts and sciences which has an extensive collection of old scientific instruments, mechanical gewgaws, and so on. Although they try to stay up-to-date, for instance with an old Cray supercomputer and some robot stuff, the real heyday of the exhibit is the set of instruments and inventions from the 18th and 19th centuries. I accidentally put on a yellowish color filter while I was photographing, but it really worked out pretty well… Very gaslight, very steampunk.
