Happy Valley Hash House Harriers Green Dress Run

Big fun in Northampton yesterday, as 40 or so hashers descended to celebrate a lovely spring day. Bonus points for the several people who combined the Ides of March and St. Patrick’s theme by wearing green togas. In Northampton I think it’s something of a reversal for men to dress like women.

When you hash in a crowded downtown area you get looks and stares and people asking you what you’re doing… A question which is hard to answer briefly or coherently. But yesterday’s run actually did raise a couple bucks for the local animal shelter, and so we could say “it’s a charity run” and leave it at that.

Police appeared once, but were reasonably friendly in asking us to take our drinking somewhere else.
