Big muddy
Most Friday nights, and some Saturdays, we hear that ol’ whistle blowin’. Catfish are jumping, etc.
When I told Lee about the steamboat on one of my scouting trips, she was justifiably excited. Imagine, a giant old-fashioned paddlewheel steamer plying its way up and down the Connecticut River.
Well, the whistle may be that big, but the boat itself is only about 20 feet long, fired by wood in what looks like a converted oil drum.
The owners get full marks for having a good time.
