A few shots from Montauban which is the latest city we’ve fallen in love with. It’s just over half an hour from Toulouse, and it has a nice hilly-ness that Toulouse is missing. The Tarn swooshes through town, and the historic center is charming.

The use of black and white river rocks, set on edge in concrete and arranged in geometric patterns for sidewalks, is something we saw a lot of, a remnant of a time when labor was cheaper than material.

We all agreed that Brattleboro could learn a few things about waterfront development from Montauban.
