The newly-spired Freedom Tower dominates the lower Manhattan skyline just like the World Trade Center did. Jogging along the Westside Highway (with everybody else) this morning, I got my first glimpse of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. It’s tall alright, but you can’t actually say that it soars. It’s more about mass, stability, an anchor.
