Progress!!!

Things are plugging along. We have beautiful Kashmir white granite countertops, which turned out to be kinda greenish, and that’s EXACTLY what we wanted to happen. We have a dishwasher and a kitchen sink. That kitchen sink also has an instant hot water dispenser and a soap dispenser and a garbage disposal… very cool. The shower is pretty much tiled, will get grouted this week. We’re doing some painiting tomorrow, where Aegean Mist and Dynasty Celadon will go from being romantic names to realities we will get to enjoy every day for the next several years.

It’s crazy expensive, it takes too long, and none of the subcontractors truly understands our vision… but somehow it’s all coming together anyway. John has done a great job marshaling everyone and making steady progress. All that said, we’re about ready to get our lives and our house back… at least until Phase 2 starts.
